Fenway Sunbeam

From the studio.

This piece is built for pure, uncomplicated cheer. Big, open sunflower faces anchor the design, their deep golden petals doing most of the visual work, while everything around them stays soft and light so the sunflowers can shine.

Clusters of white stock add height and a light, natural fragrance, while cream and blush garden roses fill in with a softer, more romantic texture. Touches of pale yellow alstroemeria and carnations tie the warm and cool tones together without competing with the sunflowers for attention. Everything is gathered by hand and wrapped in warm butter yellow paper, giving the whole piece a sunny, cohesive glow from every angle.

Botanical Insight

Sunflowers are one of the few cut flowers that keep tracking light even after they're cut, their stems will often bend gently toward the brightest window in a room over the first day or two. Because of this, they hold up best with a fresh, angled cut and plenty of water, and they tend to drink more than most of the other flowers in this piece, so topping off water daily helps everything last longer. Their thick, hollow stems also make them naturally sturdy anchors for a fuller design like this one, able to support the weight of the softer stock and rose stems arranged around them.
